Day to raise awareness about hearing care

The World Health Organization will observe International Ear Care Day on March 3. The day was established at the first International Conference on Prevention and Rehabilitation of Hearing Impairment in Beijing in 2007. It is aimed at raising awareness about hearing care. Hearing loss is often associated with other diseases, like dementia, obesity, depression and diabetes.

Scientists to share data at meeting in the capital

The International Conference on Engineering and Technology, Computer, Basic and Applied Sciences will open in Beijing on March 4. The two-day conference will provide a platform to participants to share the latest developments in their fields. More than 200 delegates from home and abroad will participate.

Hong Kong to host major jewelry show

The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will open on Tuesday. The five-day event will showcase products from around the world. Participating countries include major diamond exporters such as Israel, India and Belgium. One of the biggest jewelry exhibitions in Asia, it is expected to attract thousands of visitors.

Huaibei Ski Resort to hold snow festival next weekend

The SnowMelt Festival 2017 will be held at Beijing's Huaibei Ski Resort near the Great Wall on March 4. It will feature a series of sporting events as well as entertainment.
