The yuan is in - Washington

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde (center) poses with the Chinese team at the IMF on Sept 30 after announcing the launch of the new IMF Special Drawing Right (SDR) valuation basket that includes the Chinese currency yuan for the fi rst time. In a ceremony at the IMF headquarters in Washington, Lagarde also announced the new currency amounts that will determine the value of the SDR during the new valuation basket.
