There is another amazing free gig this weekend, with Rustic taking to the stage at D-22, which has reopened from its summer break. The band has most recently been seen within the Second Ring Road, playing to amped crowds at Yugong Yishan, riding a wave of popularity owing to their new album, as well as last year's success at the Global Battle of the Bands. On Friday, they're playing back where they came from: D-22. This should be an absolutely packed out show, so get there on time and be prepared to get close to your fellow gig-goers. This is going to be a great night of loud rock. You can enjoy it even more because you won't have to pay for anything but the cheap beer.
Who: Rustic
Where: D-22 at 242 Chengfu Lu, Haidian district, (10) 6265-3177
When: Friday, 10 pm
Price: Free
Elsewhere, the final of the Tiger Translate show is upon us. On Friday, find out who the winner is, with headliners XTX performing at Tango Third Floor from 8:30 pm (60/70 yuan). Hot & Cold will also be performing their last show in Beijing alongside some great experimental acts at D-22 on Saturday from 10 pm (40/50 yuan). French punk rockers The Shapers will be playing at Mao Livehouse along with The Flyx and others on Thursday from 9 pm, (40/50 yuan). And if you have you nothing better to do on a Sunday night, head to D-22 for a Yang Haisong (PK14) DJ set from 9 pm (free).
