Topic: Plastic bags policy

Restrictions on the use of plastic bags have so far only been used in supermarkets, food markets and shopping malls, where customers must pay extra. Now the Ministry of Commerce wants restaurants and hospitals to be included.

The restriction has undoubtedly increased the daily cost for citizens and will create a new way for restaurants and hospitals to make profits. Such palliative measures will do nothing more than add to the financial burden for customers.

Why do authorities always restrict something by adding price tags to it? If a proper substitute for plastic bags can't be found, will the restriction policy have a notable effect? Anyway, plastic bags provide much convenience in daily life.

A better way is obviously to establish a proper channel to retrieve the used plastic bags and properly manage the retrieving process. - "SUIFENG517" ON SINA; FOLLOWERS: 50

The root of this problem is the continuous manufacture of plastic bags. The policy won't work unless you stop factories producing plastic bags and encourage them to substitute other materials. Otherwise the restriction only adds to the profits of supermarkets and restaurants. - "XUWEIDONG" ON QQ; FOLLOWERS: 12

Topic: Did it cross the line?

A TV station in Jiangsu province made a reality show in Huai'an that featured three of its production staff pretending to be drunk and assaulting a woman (played by an actress) in public to test people's reactions. A young passer-by came to the woman's rescue believing it was real.

It reminds me of a comedy in which famous comedian Guo Donglin had a line that went: "If you use lies to test lies, you will end up with nothing but lies."

Ridiculous! Never do that again. Haven't you ever heard the story about the boy who cried wolf? If you cry again and again for help that the wolf is coming to eat your sheep, nobody will come to offer help when your sheep are really in trouble. There are many other ways to test whether people have the sense of justice. What if the three men were seriously beaten by the warm-hearted people who came to help?

Did anyone think about the responsibility of the media? What role should they play? I'm afraid in this case they set a very bad example. Maybe they (the TV station) wanted to do something serious, but they forgot it could easily be interpreted as entertainment. They just messed things up.

Topic: Deans on song

A video of officials at Nanchang University in Jiangxi province singing a pop song has gone viral, although some critics argue that its release is an insult to the image of college officials.

Why should people criticize these college officials? They

have the freedom to sing a pop song - and it's much better than being unethical in academic study.

Although they sang not very well, the whole scene is entertaining. Today, college leaders are not only cute, but also pioneering. - "YUTONGLIUSHUI" ON SINA; FOLLOWER: 56

They may often hit a wrong note or tone, but they have definitely stuck to the tone of students and society. It's the best way of managing a school for leaders to assimilate themselves with students and try to understand their students.

I feel so happy for students at Nanchang University to have such nice leaders. Although they occasionally are out of tune, they have truly shortened the distance between them and the students. I can sense that this university is open-minded and tolerant. - "WANGYU" ON QQ; FOLLOWERS: 49
