on Charity seed project aims to grow green mentality

Planting vegetables on balconies has been encouraged in the Middle East as residents can't go to the market daily due to the frequent wars. It provides better greenery in homes, more oxygen and vegetables most likely without pesticides.

on Day trip tips 'not enough'

http://t.cn/hgDCCe

We visited Beijing and Shanghai in April. Using the Internet we found a wealth of information on sightseeing and visiting some of the tourist spots. It is easy to visit these places using public transport and without the need for tour guides. The city government is to be congratulated for a first-class transport network. If only tourists from abroad knew how easy it is to see Beijing on their own.

on There's no smoke without ire

How about if other customers in the bar or restaurant enforce this ban? If you see someone smoking, enforce it if you care. If nobody cares then the ban is useless. Don't be afraid to speak out. If everyone does their part the ban will succeed.

on Park eccentrics are breath of fresh air

http://t.cn/he565C

I love going to a park every day after a day of tiring work in the office. It is such fun seeing people's happy faces there, from aged people, parents with their kids, lovers. It's so cute. All I feel is the wind, the green trees, some music. Everything makes me relax. It's difficult to make a living in the capital. I feel walking in the park is a nice outlet for my nervous brain. I just love it.

In the city where I live now, people love dancing and singing or doing some Chinese kungfu, especially old people. It feels like it is becoming part of our culture. It should be a good place for young people who want to run away from city life in a cheap way. Our government should encourage this and build more parks instead of making most of the land commercial.
