Charity meal

For this month, Beijing foodies made it a priority to have the monthly feast at a venue with an outdoor patio to celebrate the summer. At Nola, chef Brandon Trowbridge made a menu of Southern American food for the charity event.

The charity to receive this month's proceeds is Schools Without Borders, a nonprofit organization which provides training, mentorship and support to more than 25 youth-led educational initiatives in Canada, Brazil and Kenya.

Money raised from the dinner will go towards the completion of the educational documentary Within Every Woman, a film telling the untold stories of the former comfort women. The film is half-finished and every dollar raised will go toward helping the producers bring the grandmothers' stories to a global audience.

Booking is advised.

100 yuan a person plus a drink.
