Striking celeb photography

One of China's rising commercial and celebrity photographers, Chen Man, will display a series of provocative photographs at the Today Art Museum until May 8.

Chen has made a name working her way through high-fashion and celebrity circles with striking photos combined with computer rendering to create sci fi-style photos that blur the lines of fashion and reality.

Africa: See you see me

See the history of African photography in this exhibition that brings together photographers from the continent and the international diaspora. A fascinating glimpse into interpretations of Africa today.

Together, the photographs are texts of African subjectivities, archives of history and societies in the making, and methods for understanding how images contribute to emancipation.

Italian take on papercuts

The Italian Cultural Institute hosts an exhibition of Italian artist Claudio Diatto. Diatto's colorful papercuts are the result of original and individual research developed in Italy.

The event aims to compare traditional Chinese jianzi and the "new pop vision" of this Italian artist.
