Good night from high-end beds and mattresses

High-end beds and mattresses, which are claimed to aid sleep, have been in hot demand in Beijing recently. With daily pressure increasing, sleep disorders have become more and more common, and the demands for better has also increased.

De Rucci, a domestic brand was the best-selling name last month in Easyhome. A salesman at Easyhome, a well-known furniture market in Beijing told METRO that the fast pace of modern life meant Beijingers were paying more attention to the quality of their sleep in recent years, and said that a quality bed and mattress makes dreams more sweet.

She said that it is the desire for better sleep that has propelled the brand to be the top seller in the bed center at Easyhome, even though their products are more expensive than other brands.

The price of the brand's best selling mattress is about 20 thousand yuan, while their most expensive mattress is more than 100,000 yuan.

In contrast, the price of a standard mattress from other domestic brands is usually under five thousand yuan.

Hukla is a popular German bedding brand that also has a store in Easyhome. The brand is famous for its ergonomically designed mattress with seven zone pocket springs.

Their promotional slogan is comfortable sleeping and healthy living and the price of their products ranges from 5,000 to 70,000 yuan.

"Many customers told us that they don't sleep well at night because of different kind's of stress," said the manager of the store, named Hao Libo. "They are looking for a bed that can provide good sleep, and they don't really care about the price."

Hao said a good bed or mattress is conducive to a healthy spine, and will provide support for different parts of body."

It can also provide different flex according to people's height and weight, and enhance the quality of sleep.

She added their brand can also customize mattresses in special sizes, which is convenient for people who are particularly tall or heavy and the demand for these has been steadily increasing.

The customers who buy Hukla's products are mostly from 25 to 50 years old, who suffer the most pressure in the society, Hao told METRO.

"A lot of entertainment stars also bought our beds and mattresses such as Ge You and Song Dandan, the two leading comedians in the country," said Hao.

She told METRO, stars have lots of working pressure, and their lifestyle is usually neither regular nor healthy. As a result, they are prone to suffering sleep disorders.

"They have traveled to many countries and know which kind of bed and mattress are more comfortable and suit them," said Hao. "So they always choose the best and most expensive ones."

A man surnamed Jian with his wife, both about 60 years old, who had just bought a bed in the Hukla store told METRO.

"As the quality of our life is increasing, we also need high-quality sleep."

Jian said in order to have a good sleep, comfort was the most important thing in choosing a bed, and he was willing to pay around 30 thousand yuan. "Having a good sleep is worth the money," he said.
