An innovation cooperation forum between Yunnan and Israel was held in Kunming, Yunnan province, on Nov 16. The forum hosted government officials and representatives of enterprises from the two countries.
Shaanxi Governor Chen Hao delivered a speech at the forum and recommended parts of the province to the attendees. Chen said that based on its geographic and resource advantages, the province is working to increase cooperation and exchanges with neighboring countries in South and Southeast Asia. Chen expressed his hope that further cooperation could be made with Israel in areas of culture, technology, economy and agriculture.
An innovation center between China (Yunnan) and Israel was launched during the forum. The center is expected to help Yunnan speed up industrial upgrading and help its enterprises and institutions learn about Israel's technologies and science breakthroughs. It will also help the two sides seek more cooperation opportunities and speed up the implementation of their cooperative projects.
