A Chinese painting exhibition on the ancient Silk and Tea Roads will be held in Beijing, the Pu’er Daily reported.

The exhibition is co-sponsored by China Artists Association and Pu’er Municipal Government, to promote Pu’er tea culture and increase the city’s influence.
The exhibition, held at the Chinese Gallery from Nov 11 to 19, will include 117 landscape and figure paintings by artist Shu Jianixin, the vice mayor of Pu’er.
Approximately 40 media groups took part in the press conference, including Xinhua, people.com, China Daily, CCTV and Yunnan Daily.
Zhao Wei, deputy president of China’s National Academy of Painting and Shu Jianxin, vice mayor of Pu’er, attended the press conference.
