Pu'er coffee has entered the list of 2015 Customers' Favorite Agriculture Products, revealed the 2015 International Forum (Beijing) for Agriculture and Business Brand Development in Beijing on Sept 20.
According to the awards committee, the selections for this year's list were made by the China Good Agri-products Development & Service Association and the China Association of Agricultural Leading Enterprises. The selection process includes an expert review and online voting.
Aside from tea, coffee is Pu'er's most characteristic industry. After undergoing years of streamlined development, the city's coffee plantation area has exceeded 50 percent of the total plantation area available in Yunnan province. The construction of the Yunnan Coffee Trade Center in Pu'er is expected to make a significant contribution in creating an industrial coffee chain in the city.
According to an analyst from the industry, entering of 2015 Customers' Favorite Agriculture Products list will help the Pu'er coffee industry to promote the city's construction of highland agriculture brand.
