The third session of Third Municipal People’s Congress closes in Pu'er

The third session of Pu'er's Third Municipal People's Congress closed on Aug 6, according to the Pu'er Daily, the city's local newspaper.

Statistics show that a total of 331 representatives attended the conference. Among them was the city's Party chief, Wei Xing, who delivered a speech at the close ceremony of conference. During his speech, he stressed that Pu'er residents should be united as one to promote the city's economic development.

Wei also made a review of the city's development in the first half of this year. He pointed out that in the first half of this year, Pu'er city's total economic output value had increased 9.5 percent, compared to the same period the previous year.
