Pu'er held an anti-drug publicity conference on June 26, according to Pu’er Daily.
Attending the conference and delivering a speech was Wei Xing, the Party chief of Pu'er city, while Yang Zhaohui, deputy Party chief of Pu'er, conducted the conference.
On behalf of the Pu'er city government, Wei Xing paid tribute to the staff members who work on the front line of anti-drug actions.
In recent years, the Pu'er city government has paid great attention to anti-drug efforts. "Pu'er city is on the border of the Golden Triangle and the city is in the face of the anti-drug challenges," said Wei at the conference.
Volunteers of anti-drug activities also gave speeches at the conference. A number of other activities were also held on the day, such as drug destruction.
