Five cultural relicts of Pu'er city, Yunnan province, were listed in the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units, a list approved by the State Council and officially announced on May 3.
The five artifacts include Ancient Tea Horse Road, the Jinggu Buddhist Temple Complex of the Dai Ethnic Group, Jingdong Confucius Temple, Nuofu Church and Jingmai Ancient Tea Garden. So far, Pu'er city has a total of seven cultural relics on the lists.
Jingmai Ancient Tea Garden is a valuable historic and cultural relic recently discovered during the third National Survey on Cultural Relics.
In addition, the garden was included in China's Tentative List for UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites (2012). The garden is expected to be declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

Ancient Tea Horse Road has two branches: Sichuan-Tibet Road and Yunnan-Tibet Road. The road connects Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet. It extends further into foreign countries, and its best preserved regions are the counties of Simao and Ning'er. Ancient Tea Horse Road was formed in the late sixth century AD.

Jingmai Ancient Tea Garden in Lancang county is the best preserved garden with the longest history and largest area for artificial tea cultivation. Tea experts and scholars at home and abroad regard it as a "natural tea museum”. Jingdong Confucius Temple, located at the foot of Yuping Mountain, to the west of Jingdong county, was built in 1682 and repaired in the 1980s. It covers an area of 0.53 hectare and is one of the best preserved ancient buildings in southwest Yunnan province.
Jinggu Buddhist Temple Complex of the Dai Ethnic Group consists of three parts -- Tree Tower (a tree that grows from the top of a tower), Qiannuo Buddha Temple and Mangdao Buddha Temple.
Nuofu Church, built in 1922, is located in Nuofu village, Lancang county, Pu’er city. It is an American Baptist Christian church. The church building is built in the dry-column style (with two stories constructed from bamboo) of the Lahu ethnic group. The inside is decorated in European and American styles.
The Monument of National Solidarity in Ning'er county was established on New Year's Day in 1951. It is carved from white limestone and measures 142 cm long, 65 cm wide and 12 cm deep.

Xuanfu Office is located in Nayun Ancient Town of Menglian county. Xuanfu was a noble title given to the head of ethnic groups in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is a well-preserved ancient architectural complex combining Dai ethnic group and Han architectural features.
