2015 Pu'er GMS (Greater Mekong Subregion) Six Countries Commodities Fair was hosted in Pu’er on January 10.
Foreign trade representatives from Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam five countries attended the opening ceremony.
Huang Junsheng, chairman of GMS (Greater Mekong Subregion) Six Countries Commodities Fair Organizing Committee delivered a speech and Ma Chunhua, vice director of Pu’er Municipal Political Consultative Conference announced the opening of the Fair.
Huang Shengjun said that three years ago, the first session of Six GMS countries Commodities Fair was held in Kunming and later in Hangzhou and Ningbo. Now it has become an important platform to enrich economic and trade cooperation for six countries.
The Fair set up a total of 347 exhibition booths, and will last for five days. It attracted over 300 domestic and foreign exhibitors from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam who displayed various goods. The Fair promoted the communication and expand economic and trade cooperation for Pu'er and GMS countries.
Officials from Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission Lancang - Mekong Subregion Cooperation Office and other departments attended the opening ceremony.
