The Old Town of Lijiang renovates its scenic spots

The Old Town of Lijiang has been working on reconstruction and renovation of scenic spots.
First, it restored the Christian church at Wang’s Village. The project attracted investment of 3.5 million yuan ($552,000) and is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
Second, the old town invested 1.44 million yuan into the infrastructure of Lion’s Mountain, and refurbished old houses at the park.
Third, it invested one million yuan to repair the former residence of Gu Bide, a photographer. Currently, interior decoration and training for staff members are being carried out.
Fourth, the old town plans to invest 6.43 million yuan to build a Lijiang Historical and Cultural Hall that will be open to the public soon.
Finally, the old town of Lijiang is also planning a Naxi Ethnic Folk Culture Museum.
The Yunnan tourism authorities hope the renovation of these cultural relics will afford visitors a better experience.
