Yuntianhua Group, a leading enterprise that is implementing the plan of the CPC provincial committee and provincial government to construct gateways for the province, has been operating on plan and according to schedule. On September 10, 2010, the PetroChina China-Myanmar Oil and Gas Pipeline project (China section) and the Group initiated an oil refining project worth an annual 10 million tons. Yuntianhua Group has taken 10 percent of the stake of this landmark project in the province’s gateway construction. The group has also undertaken a deep-processing project for petroleum refining byproducts.

Yunnan has sound electric power resources, particularly competitive hydropower resources. It is also rich in mineral resources, including phosphorite and non-ferrous metals. It will carry forward a series of policies and measures to integrate the advantageous mineral and electric power resources and cultivate competitive industrial bases of local characteristics. Yuntianhua Group is the largest chemical fertilizer manufacturing enterprise in the country, and also a highly internationalized enterprise in the province. It has exported fertilizers to Southeast Asia and will expand to the international market.
