Buying products at "Xinjiang Silk Road Rural Tourism", the online shopping platform, takes less than five minutes. 'It's as convenient as shopping at other online shopping malls," said Zhu Nan, in charge of the technical project at the company.
The two platforms started a pilot run in March, 2016, and have now registered more than 130 shops and 3,000 visitors. The number of users is expected to exceed 15,000 by the end of 2016, Zhu added.

Xinjiang’s tourism is expected to boom, with the capital city Urumqi to open its high-speed railway station, which will be a comprehensive transportation hub serving railway, bus, coach and urban light rail, said Song Jiancheng, Xinjiang Tourism’s manager.
