The Fourth China Xinjiang International Dance Festival will be held in the cities of Urumqi, Karamay and Aksu in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on July 20.

The preparatory work for the Festival is fully under way, with officials overseeing the preparations. Tian Wen, Xinjiang's vice-governor examined the stage setting, security measures, guest reception and environment improvement in Karamay, where she was also briefed by the local officials about contingency plans made by the organizing committee.

The dance festival is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, State Council Information Office and government of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. It will invite 26 groups of domestic and foreign performers from 11 countries and regions, including Turkey, Ireland and Belarus to showcase their dancing skills.
