Burhan Kahar, vice general manager of the Xinjiang Oilfield Company, and Abudannov, director of Kazakhstan National Petroleum Corporation (KNPC), signed a framework agreement on March 31, the Karamay Daily reported.
The agreement means that the Xinjiang Oilfield Company will enhance cooperation with KNPC in production experience exchanges and personnel training in the future, and provides for 18 KNPC staff to come to Karamay for training.
As an important player in Kazakhstan's petroleum industry, KNPC has a broad spectrum of upstream and downstream capabilities, including skills in domestic marketing and international trade.
At the signing ceremony, Yang Xuewen, general manager of Xinjiang Oilfield Company, delivered a brief introduction of the Karamay oilfield's development history.
He noted that the company has trained numerous professionals, and its petroleum reservoir exploitation technology was cutting edge globally. Built as an advanced training base, Karamay looks forward to enhanced cooperation with the company in human resources training and development.
Abudannov expressed his wish to deepen cooperation through the exchanges.
