The 2015 Karamay Book Fair was held at the Xinhua Bookstore in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on Nov 13-15.
The fair featured a collection of 90,000 books in a wide-range of categories such as art, politics and science. About 6,000 of them are printed in various ethnic languages.
"Families, faculty and the community are all encouraged to attend this reading event. We are happy to see people from different backgrounds in Karamay are all lifelong readers," said Ablikim Eziz, vice-mayor of Karamay, at the opening ceremony of the book fair.
Shöhret Memetniyaz, head of the Xinjiang People's Publishing House, and well-known Xinjiang-born writers such as Abduweli Eli and Perhat Jlan, were present at the book fair and communicated with Karamay readers.
