Construction of Green City Primary School was finished on Aug 28, Karamay district’s bureau of housing and urban rural construction reported on Oct 9.

The school is located at Green City New City, a residential community in southeast Karamay district. The project began on Aug 19, 2013, and occupies an area of 55,100 square meters.

The primary school will have two teaching buildings, a playground and a bleacher.

The teaching buildings have 36 ordinary classrooms, laboratories, and 20 classrooms especially for computer sciences, the arts and music, and seminars.

There is a dancing room, and PE classrooms at the playground. The school also has a basketball court, a ping pong field and a 400-meter track.

The Karamay municipal government launched the primary school to promote the cultural and educational development of this new residential community.
