"We can make this garden a place to popularize science to young people and let them experience the mystery of nature," said Zhang Taolin

Zhang Taolin, deputy Agricultural Minister, visited the modern agricultural demonstration area from Sept 6 to 7, Karamay Daily reported.

At the park Zhang asked about the park’s measures to save water and irrigation.

Zhang tasted the tomatoes and cucumbers grown in the park. "It is so sweet and I think this is the flavor of Karamay," he said.

Zhang Taolin also visited Karamay Lvcheng Agriculture Company to learn about the milk and dairy products.

The agricultural zone was honored as a national modern agricultural demonstration zone by the Ministry of Agriculture this year.

"We should be aware of food quality and make sure the people have nutritious and safe dairy products. Karamay not only has its own pasture but also strict processing procedures. I am quite impressed," said Zhang Taolin.

Zhang Taolin also visited the Huawei center in Karamay Cloud Computing Industrial Park to learn about the park's history.

Zhang Hongyan, mayor of Karamay and Ding Youming, deputy mayor of Karamay also participated in the visit.
