The 2015 Silk Road International Tourism Commodities Expo opened in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on Aug 7.
The Expo, under the theme of "Treasures along the Silk Road", attracted more than 700 enterprises from nearly 20 countries such as France, Germany, Canada and South Korea.
Various products from different countries were on sale at the Expo, such as cosmetics from Korea, child care products from Japan, leatherwear from the United Kingdom and folk handicrafts from ethnic villages in Xinjiang.
In addition to sales exhibitions, various cultural activities were held during the five-day tourism commodities expo, including an original music festival, a gourmet festival, a summit on the development of self-drive travel, a motorhome show and jewelry fair.
Karamay holds the International Tourism Commodities Expo since 2012. It is the largest platform in Xinjiang for tourism professionals to display their products, interact with each other and seek cooperation opportunities.
