To cater to an external passageway pattern, a road network structure would integrate the “Five-horizontal” (Xingang Road No.4, No.5, No.6, No.7 and No.8) and “Five-vertical” (Haibin Revenue, Yuejin Road, Beigang Road, Donghuan Road and Linhai Road).
Due to the management in the Bonded Zone, some problems have arisen, such as insufficient capacity of south-north roads in Tianjin North Port, freight collecting & distributing traffic flow over-centered on Linhai Road, freight collecting traffic flow and disturbance of freight distributing traffic flow.
Since freight collecting and distributing should be separate and different traffic flow for different directions should be avoided, the proposed reconstruction for Haibin Revenue, Linhai Road, Yuejin Road and other key mainlines, and reservation program are expected to carry out along the northern section of Donghuan Road.
Binhai Avenue will be reconstructed upon the double-elevated program, functioning as an organization and conversion of traffic flow in and out of the North Port; Linhai Road will be designed with an elevated bridge while expanding to ground roads to enhance carrying capacity, separate conflicts of freight collecting and distributing; for Yuejin Road, it will be elevated partially to help with south-north traffic flow.
The In-port Railway Line 2 is reserved, while Line 1 will be gradually adjusted according to urban development.
The In-port Railway Line 2 serves as the main collecting & distributing channels for general cargo handling, and has undertaken collecting and distributing functions for containers.
