Chen Xushu is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a professor of Tianjin University and one of the founders of non-linear dynamics in China.

Chen introduced the C-L method in a non-linear vibration system, developed the theory of non linear vibration and laid a foundation for solving vibration problems in engineering.
