Wang Jing: Achieve balanced development of compulsory education in Tianjin

Wang Jing stresses that the key of education is to have clearly defined goals.

Middle-school students' being overloaded with studies is a long-term problem which has captured the attention of the public. Schools should arrange lessons according to the courses' standard and quality.

With reference to the problem of remedial work, Wang pointed out that the parents should establish a correct viewpoint about children's growth, and educational organizations should be normalized as useful complements to school education.

As educational organizations are normalized those lacking qualifications should be banned. The education administration should strengthen the management of the organizations.

Tianjin could hold events after classes, with students doing their homework in school and attending the quality-developing activities. This system would help students enjoy school life, and solve the problem for parents of picking up the kids from school.

Preprimary education is also an important part of fundamental education. Wang said, "Tianjin will build and upgrade 100 kindergartens in 2018. The finance administration will fund privately-owned kindergartens and the salaries of kindergartens' staff members will be raised."

Unbalanced education between cities and villages still exists in Tianjin. School management and a lack of teachers are two main problems in education. Village school often lack teachers for arts such as music, or for physical education. The working and living conditions for them is not good. And they cannot use multimedia devices expertly.

Tianjin has implemented the regional education development integration plan to balance compulsory education. It will also speed up the cultivation of teachers in villages and increase their benefits.
