The first session of the 14th Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Tianjin Auditorium on Jan 23.

The city's Party Secretary Li Hongzhong, Deputy Party Secretary and Acting Mayor Zhang Guoqing and the Director of the NPC Standing Committee Xiao Huaiyuan were in attendance.

The committee's Executive Chairman Zang Xianfu delivered a work report at the conference.
