A driverless internet-connected bus has recently debuted in Huaming Tech Zone in Tianjin. It was researched and developed by Tianjin Tsintel Technology, which is supported by the Tianjin Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Research Institute. The bus runs at 20 km/h and seats 8-10 people. Operated by a cloud computing system, it avoids pedestrians, follows traffic and turns around automatically. A lineup service of such buses is anticipated by the end of 2018.
