The new season of CBA basketball competition will open on Oct 21.The home venue of Tianjin's men's basketball team will be Dongli Stadium.

The opening day will pitch the Tianjin men's basketball team against a team from Qingdao.

Dongli Stadium, built in 2012, is located in No 3 Xianfengdong road in Dongli district, and covers 11,200 sq m. The stadium is 50 meters long, 40 meters wide and 22 meters high. It has six screens.

The Tianjin team has changed its line-up. Zhang Nan, a good small forward who scored averaged 15 points in each of nine seasons, announced his retirement a few weeks ago. The new team member Li Rongpei is regarded as his successor.

Jeter and Eli Holman from the United States will be the team's foreign players this season.

Last season, Jeter averaged 27.7 points, 7.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2 steals.

The 2017-2018 CBA basketball competition preseason games opened on Oct 6. Twenty teams, divided into five divisions, competed.
