A Relict Gull Park is under construction at Binhai New Area, Tianjin City and will be completed in the summer of 2017.
Binhai New Area is on the birds' migratory pathway between East Asia and Australia. Every winter and spring a large number of relict gulls shelter in the Tianjin area.
The park is intended to give these migratory birds a stable ecological environment to rest in during their migration.

An 874-meter Relict Gull Road will be built in the park to allow visitors to observe the birds.
People will also be able to learn about them in the parks museum after it opens.
