A New Zealand scientific and technological innovative resources promotion was held in Tianjin on Oct 31, during which the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the New Zealand Marlborough Research Center signed a MOU on docking high-quality New Zealand resources in Tianjin.
Being one of the technology and innovation-themed activities of the "Belt and Road Initiative" in Tianjin, the promotion was intended to foster technological cooperation between innovative Tianjin enterprises and related institutes in New Zealand.
Stuart Smith, a member of the New Zealand Parliament, said the MOU laid a solid foundation of cooperation between the two sides. New Zealand is advantageous in its health care products, biological, and agricultural fields, and Tianjin owns a large market.
Zhang Guihua, president of the Northern Technology Exchange Market, suggested that the agreement will offer opportunities for Tianjin and New Zealand to cooperate in areas such as talent, technology, and information.
Dozens of technological enterprises, institutes, and government departments in food, drink, and healthcare products areas of New Zealand attended the promotion and established innovative cooperation relations.
