The China (Tianjin) International Offshore Engineering Equipment and Port Machinery Exposition was held at the Meijing Conference Center in Tianjin from Oct 21 to 23, with more than 320 leading enterprises and institutes in the offshore engineering industry from dozens of countries including China, the US, Germany, Norway and Holland in attendance.

More than 30,000 square meters were available for internationally leading maritime enterprises to display their latest inventions such as ocean engineering equipment, module designs and service facilities, harbor machinery, marine biotechnology and medicine products.
During the exposition, 18 programs involving advanced equipment manufacturing, marine economy and unmanned aerial vehicles decided to settle in the harbor economic area of Tianjin. The signed investment reached 21 billion yuan ($3.1 billion). These programs settling in the area will promote the development of the "Made in China 2025" strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative.

The event was sponsored by the government of Binhai New Area and the Tianjin Oceanic Administration and supported by several associations and enterprises including the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Association of Oceanic Engineering.
