The 2016 China (Binhai Tianjin) International Eco-city Forum and Expo was held from Oct 21 to 23 at the Binhai District in Tianjin, attracting more than 20 enterprises and institutes including the Zhongguancun National Self-dependent Innovation Demonstration Zone.

Xu Jing, industrial development manager of Zhongguancun Development Group, said Tianjin will enjoy a better evolution because of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei province collaborative development. Zhongguancun Development Group has started science park constructions in Binhai New Area to introduce enterprises in Beijing and to further promote the development of the Zhongguancun Science Park.

Meanwhile, various scientific and high technological products such as smog treatment technology, energy conservation products and an intelligent robot named "Da Pang" (which means chunky in Chinese) were on display.

A reporter said a line of a famous Chinese poem to "Da Pang" and it answered with the following line. The robot was developed by EVOLVER, a company focused on researching household and commercial intelligent robots. Such robots can intelligently control household applications and can even tutor children between the ages of four and 12.
