| Updated: 2016-10-21 14:12:35 | (chinadaily.com.cn) |

Binhai New Area in Tianjin intends to build practice bases at the Teda International School, the King Cheng Bank, the Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biomedicine and the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for more than 100 foreign students at Nankai University and Tianjin University. The students will receive 2,000 yuan per month as a special subsidy from the Human Resources Development Foundation of Binhai District.

Shi Hao, deputy director of the human resources development department of the office of Human Resources and Social Security of Binhai District, said there are 40 positions in 20 enterprises available for foreign students. This is the first time the department has cooperated with the two universities on an introduction of foreign talents.

As of now, the demand focuses on pillar industries such as aerospace, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, bio-pharmaceuticals and new materials.

Most of the 4,000 foreign students from about 120 countries at Nankai and Tianjin University are short-term language trainees.

Every year, around 200 new foreign graduates majoring in economics, international trade, management, chemical engineering, computer science and architectural engineering arrive. They hold a double education background -- overseas and Chinese education -- and are familiar with the international rules in various fields, which make them practical and versatile resources.

There are already more than 20 high-end foreign students in Tianjin University and the cooperative platforms between Nankai University and colleges in France and Italy also bring international high-tech talents to the Binhai New Area.
