More than 400 students cooperated to make a huge cake in front of the Beiping-Tianjin Battle Memorial Hall in Tianjin on Oct 15 under the guidance of the Tianjin Volunteer team.
The 67- meter long and 0.27 - meter wide cream cake took more than three hours to finish. It was "S" shaped, and required 100 kilograms of cream, 50 kilograms of flour, 50 kilograms of sugar and over 200 kilograms of eggs. The number 67 was meant to celebrate the 67th anniversary of China's establishment. The makers of the cake will be applying for a Guinness World Record.

Li Yong, a leader of the volunteer team, said to mark the nation's 67th birthday the length of the cake was 67 meters and its appearance modeled the Great Wall.
Students started making the cake at eleven in the morning, finally decorating it with cream adorning with stars, grass and flowers.
When the cake was done, many people gathered around it taking photos, marveling at its size.

Volunteers then divided the cake among the crowd and wrapped some of it up for children to take back home.
After tasting it, some people said, "The cake smells good and is very soft. It also has so much fruit. Delicious!"
