Tianjin Motian Membrane Engineering and Technology Co, located in the Tianjin Economic- Technological Development Area, is an internationally competitive researcher, producer of ultrafiltration and micro-filtration membrane and an overall solution provider of water membrane recycling.
As a national high-tech company, it is one of the oldest and largest in the membrane industry of China, owning complete systems of innovation, production and management, and IP rights in advanced technologies such as continuous membrane filtration (CMF), membrane bioreactor (MBR), submerged membrane filtration (SMF) and two-way flow membrane filtration (TWF). Its products have been applied in fields of energy-saving, emission reduction, sewage t reatment, water pur if icat ion, seawater desalination, medicine, biological products and food.
The company has undertaken more than 100 demonstration projects. Tianjin has set up water reclamation plants near more than 10 major sewage treatment plants, enabling them to provide reclaimed water for the whole downtown and part of Binhai New Area. The SMF technology developed by the company has been successfully used in Tianjin’s major projects that handle 80 percent of the city’s water recycling per day.
The company not only enjoys higher market share in the homeland but also sells products to many countries and regions including Russia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company has made breakthroughs in the research of complex Thermally Induced Phase Separation (c-TIPS), one of top membrane separation technologies in the world. Its melt-spinning/coldstretching pore-forming technology has broken foreign monopoly and won the second prize of national technology and invention in 2008, a new milestone in China’s membrane separation field.
The company has undertaken national and provincial research and industrialization projects, including national water pollution control and management technology projects, the China Torch Program, National New Products Program and Tianjin’s major scientific and technological projects. It has been awarded the “products used in national good house demonstration projects”, “national key new products” and “Tianjin’s innovative products”.
