The first China-South Korea Culture Festival of Tianjin was held at the South Korea International School in Tianjin from September 24 to 25, aiming to further promote the friendly relations between the two countries.
A charity sale in which various South Korean companies sold commodities such as return tickets to Europe, smart phones and cameras was one of the most remarkable parts of the festival.
Li Runluo, vice chairman of the South Korea Chamber of Commerce of Tianjin, welcomed Tianjin citizens to join in the event, saying this South Korea-China culture festival is not only a big event for the South Koreans living in Tianjin, but also an opportunity to promote exchanges between the two countries.
Several other activities, such as a primary school football match, a writing competition and a painting contest, were also on offer.
More than 50,000 Koreans living in Tianjin and other Tianjin residents attended the festival, experiencing traditional Korean culture, enjoying Korean performances and tasting Korean food.
The festival was sponsored by the Tianjin South Korean Association, the South Korea Chamber of Commerce of Tianjin, the South Korea International School and the Tianjin South Korea Sports Club.
