Retirement is defined as withdrawing from the work force permanently or stepping down. For many retirement is an end of the road of working most of your life and by retiring, you can enjoy the rest of your life in leisure and doing what you want to do now and never had time to do, such as a favorite hobby, travel or just doing nothing.

The concept of retirement may sound appealing at first, until one considers the matter further. Namely, most only get to “retire” at an old age. This means in many cases retirement become synonymous with being a senior citizen. That makes the situation a real two-edged sword. How does retiring in China compare with doing so abroad?
