Bao zi has it’s roots in Tianjin dating back centuries. This amazing food comes with many different fillings. Not only do they cater to meat lovers, but also to vegetarians. There are famous bao zi restaurants throughout Tianjin that are equally as delicious but they can be a bit pricey. If you want to find them on a budget. Your best bet would be to buy them from a small shop around any neighbourhood. Most of the deals offered are 4 to 6 for the price of 10RMB 6) Jian Bing Guo Zi This amazing wrap doesn’t need an introduction as well. This savoury breakfast wrap is eaten amongst most Chinese and is popular with many students, tourists and expats living in Tianjin. This scrumptious and filling wrap is made with a thin pancake batter that is then covered with eggs. Once it is cooked all the way through, it gets smothered in a secret recipe sauce, pink tofu, chives and for an added crunch in every bite, a large crispy wonton. To find jian bing guo zi, just look for any shop window with a line half way around the block.
