The fourth generator unit of Zetes III 2×66 MW Extension Project, the first Turkish power plant construction project undertook by Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company, successfully passed the 168 hours' trial full load operation on July 20, according to Chinapower News.
This is the first Turkish project of the company, whose HQ are in the city of Tianjin,and there were many problems like the lagging equipment, the narrow construction site, slow construction and intense intersect spots to overcome. The work began on October 16, 2014 and took 21 months to finish, with the Turks pleased with the quality of the work.
The success of Zetes extension project marks the settlement of Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company in Turkey and supports for its entry into the European market.
Zetes III 2×66 MW Project includes the construction of supercritical coal-fired unit, desulfurization and denitration devices and related ancillary facilities, among which the installations of the main building's steel structure, the coal fired unit, the turbo-generator, the auxiliary engine and the accessory equipment are conducted by Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company.
