The rocket, Long March 7, was successfully launched from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in the Hainan province of China and has smoothly entered its orbit. The rocket was built in Binhai, Tianjin - and so was the launcher.

The Binhai New Area of Tianjin conducts many important projects both at home and abroad. The Long March 7 rocket - and the quality of Tianjin's mechanical products - is becoming increasingly outstanding around the world.

The director of the Tianjin ZhongJi Equipment Manufacture Co., LTD said the launcher and the lightening tower in the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center was manufactured by his company and the whole service life could reach 50 years with this first class structural safety.

The Tianjin Zhonggang Mechanical Equipment (TZME) is the leading company in the machinery industry, accounting for 90 percent of the tourism cableway manufacturing and occupies 60 percent of the roller coaster constructions in China.

The High Roller in Las Vegas, the United States, is the highest Ferris wheel in the world and its core machine chassis was made by TZME.

Some other companies in the Binhai New Area are also responsible for projects of Russia, Kazakhstan and Algeria among others.

So far, "high-quality, high- added value and strong competitive power" are the labels of Binhai.

The director of the Binhai Ministry of Industry and Information Sector said the district aims to improve the technology equipment level and to hasten the development of core technology.

The related officials said the advanced manufacturing industry will occupy more than 70 percent of the machinery industry in the Binhai New Area by 2020.

Tianjin, with many areas like Binhai, is rising in its machinery industry.
