Tianjin's Pilot Free Zone says it expects to see an increase in its cross-border e-commerce express deliveries as authorities apply a new inspection and quarantine supervision system with new measures such as an enterprise filing system and electronic inspections.
The system will have a category of nine products banned from air-transport, including samples, gifts, not-for-sale exhibits and private items transported by air. Tianjin’s inspection and quarantine authorities will apply the new control mechanism for these specific deliveries by using risk analysis, quality monitoring and tracing.
The first samples from this category to undergo the newly implemented inspection and quarantine procedures arrived in Tianjin on April 19.
