The construction project of the Tianjin New Port North Railway Container Central Station has completed 80 percent. The railway line connecting Dongting Road and the Tianjin Port Central Station has been completed, according to the China Railway Engineering Corporation Tianjin Container Project Department.

The project starts from the largest freight transportation station in Tanggu in the west and ends in the Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Area in the east. The railway line passes Tanggu District, Tianjin Economic Development Area, and the Tianjin Port.

The total length of the railway reaches 13.62 kilometers. The total investment amount reaches 1.37 billion yuan ($214.5 million). It was launched in 2011 and is estimated to complete and put into use in June of 2016.
