A business conference on cooperation between Hong Kong corporations and the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was held in Tianjin on July 16.

The conference echoed Tianjin FTZ's visit to Hong Kong for investment attraction and introduction. Representatives from the Hong Kong Trade Development Center, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Business, leaders from 30 Hong Kong corporations and more than 60 from Tianjin, discussed FTZ establishment and the integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.

Hong Kong business leaders expressed interest in cooperating with Tianjin FTZ in development and further investment.

Yu Pengchun, president of the China Commission of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Business, said that Tianjin FTZ is the only FTZ in the North China that can drive regional development. After Tianjin FTZ’s visit, many Hong Kong corporations hope to have further explorations and search for more opportunities in Tianjin.

Hong Kong business circles hope to cooperate with Tianjin corporations and seek further domestic and international developments based on the FTZ.

Duan Chunhua, deputy mayor of Tianjin and Xu Yaolin, director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Center's International and Domestic Relations Office, participated in the conference.
