The first unfinished Airbus 330 will arrive in Tianjin in 2017, according to the Airbus Group China Company on July 12.
"The new project, which will be implemented soon, will built plants and infrastructure and create a new center team. The work will be completed in the very near future," said Airbus Group China Company. The Flight Test Center may be further expanded to satisfy the needs of Airbus 330 aircraft.
The Airbus 330 planes will finish final assembly process in Toulouse of France, before flying to Tianjin for cabin installation and painting. The aircrafts will then be transferred to the Tianjin Airbus Flight Delivery Center for testing before they are delivered to airline companies.
The completion of the Airbus 330 Project and the delivery center will take more than two years. After completion, the new center will deliver two Airbus 330 planes per month. In the future the center will also produce the most updated series of aircraft –the Airbus 350.
The first Airbus 330 is expected to be delivered at the end of 2017. The new center will start operations simultaneously.
