The world's first mobile phone case that can cool down the phone, the world's first projecting mouse, and the world's first wheelchair to enable disabled people to walk, debuted in the Taiwan Boutique Pavilion with theme "Technological Lives" during the Tianjin-Taiwan Product Expo.
Together with 11 other hi-tech products from Taiwan, the exhibition area attracted many visitors' close attention.
The pavilion selected a total of 139 high-end products from 74 renowned corporations. The creative technology exhibited in the pavilion this year attracted great attention.
Staff members showed how the projector mouse works. Red light covers an area as large as a palm on the desk. The website on the computer screen moved when fingers moved in the area. And the page of the website was turned when fingers moving from left to right. It was like an invisible mouse was in the area. The projected mouse is expected to hit stores in the Chinese mainland next month.
Zhou Keli, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office in Tianjin introduced the general situation of Taiwan capital enterprises' development in the city. A total of 2,265 Taiwan capital enterprises had been established in the city as of the end of the May, 2015. The total investment brought by the enterprises reached $15.6 billion. The total amount of Taiwan capital reached $10.3 billion. The annual growth in average had reached 25.4 percent since 2008.
A total of 31 businesses from the "hundred famous corporation group in Taiwan" including the Hon Hai Group, Uni-President Group, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, ASUS Technology, and Taiwan Glass Group invested in more than 60 projects in the city. The number makes Tianjin rank at the top among cities in North China.
Liang Guoxin, president of the Taiwan Trade Center said that the Taiwan Boutique Product Exposition has become a major platform promoting business communication and cooperation between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland since its launch in September, 2009.
The exposition enjoys a high level, large audience base, and great influence. It has gradually become a best channel for emotional communication between Taiwan residents and the Chinese mainland.
In addition, the exposition provides an opportunity for mainland residents to conveniently experience Taiwan and directly purchase Taiwan products.
