Tianjin Commission of Commerce, Market and Quality Supervision Commission, Tianjin Binhai New Area Government, Administration of Customs, and Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau have reached agreement on the implementation of parallel car imports project.
Parallel car imports refer to automobile imports from merchants who are not the authorized dealer. Imported automobiles from such channels usually have lower prices and can break monopolies.
Parallel-imported cars from Tianjin have a high market share in the country. After more than a decade's exploration, Tianjin has gained experience and has cultivated nearly 500 importers. The number of automobiles parallel imported from Tianjin ports takes up 70 percent of the national total.
The launch of the Tianjin FTZ provides new opportunities for parallel car imports. The implementation proposal fully presents the innovative advantages of the Tianjin FTZ and will develop a pattern of effective monitoring services.
Thanks to the implementation proposal, parallel car imports are able to develop in order and more customers will benefit.
