Tianjin to build world’s tallest Mazu statue

Located in the Sino-Singapore Ecological City in the Tianjin Binhai New Area, the Tianjin Mazu Cultural Park is under busy construction and will open to public in 2016.

The entire park is based on reclaimed land. It has a total area of 39,000 square meters and a construction area of 3,206 square meters.

The park will have the world's tallest Mazu statue, at 42.3 meters (as tall as a 14 floor building) and made of 858 building stones. The park also includes a temple, palaces, and wing-rooms.
