The construction of the innovative demonstration area of the Sino-Singapore Ecology City located in the Tianjin Binhai New Area has been launched, according to the Binhai Power Supply Company.
Based on the existing comprehensive smart power grid demonstration project, the innovative demonstration area is going to establish the "internet of urban energy" by integrating it with the most cutting edged technology and applications in areas such as the internet, big data, and smart city.
The construction of the innovative demonstration area includes five sub-programs. The micro power grid program in the animation park is going to realize 100 percent of photovoltaic absorptive rate, which means that the park will be self-sufficient in power supply. The reliability of the program is able to reach 99.999 percent.
The multi-level energy coordination and control program is going to arrange a comprehensive system to realize appropriate allocation and absorption, rapid improvement of energy efficient, economic and effective operation of the power grid. In addition, the program is also able to provide optimized solutions of preferential and safe residential electricity consumption.
The smart family program is going to select 5,000 permanent households and network the information on residential electricity consumption. A one-stop service center and smart family sample apartment will be established to showcase the smart household electricity consumption information and to provide a convenient experience to residents.
The automatic responding program will take into account factors such as facility and device types of each household and the interruptible capacities. The program will select 5,000 permanent households in the ecological city and aims to realize the peak load shifting. The maximum capacity to fulfill users' electricity consumption needs is able to reach ten trillion watts.
In addition, the innovative area is going to establish a smart city comprehensive information service platform based on energy big data. The construction of the platform is also going to include technology such as the cloud storage, cloud computing, and data mining.
The platform will be able to deal with the big data related to systems such as energy, transportation, and municipal administration. It will also serve to intensely explore the applications and business models in the energy internet industry.
Furthermore, the platform is going to provide smart public services such as informing governments, enterprises, residents, and power supply companies of energy saving and emission reduction data and energy consumption strategies, through channels such as websites, visualization of big screens, APPs, and cloud service connectors.
